The 'Buy a Brick' fundraising closed on the last day of March 2022. At time of closing the scheme had raised £11,670 which when added to the other donations, totals £22,999, just £7,000 short of our £30,000 target.
It is of course not too late to donate although we cannot extend the brick sponsoring.
Thank you to all who have contributed in any way towards this successful outcome.
East Leake Parish Council together with the East Leake Playing Fields Charity are pleased to announce that they have been awarded a grant from the Premier League, The Football Association and UK Government via The Football Foundation towards the rebuild of the Costock Road Pavilion.
Funding has also been received through contributions from developers of housing in the village.
There is a shortfall in funds and fundraising will be taking place over the next few months to raise this money, which will be for the internal fixtures and fittings. The East Leake Playing Fields Charity have launched a “Buy a Brick’ scheme allowing sponsors to make a contribution in a very special way.
By sponsoring the charity through buying a brick for £40, you will be helping to build the future of the Village.
Many people have enjoyed playing sport at Costock Road over the years.
What better way to show your happy memories of the past and your support for the future generations of East Leake players than a brick with a loved one’s name or your family’s name on it?

Since 2000, The Football Foundation has supported grassroots projects worth more than £1.3bn, investing into areas where the need is greatest and where it will have the biggest impact in terms of getting more people playing football and a wide range of other sports.
Work commenced on 4th January 2022 with the disconnection of the electricity to the building and then demolition will follow. The re-build is scheduled to take approximately 6 months.
Full details of the project can be found on the pavilion’s dedicated website: https://eastleakepavilion.org.uk/

July 2021 – East Leake Open Gardens & Scarecrow Trail – raised £1,205.40. Our first village event following lock-down and it was a huge success! Well done to Jacquie & team for organising, all those who opened their gardens, made a scarecrow and of course all those that purchased a map – raising an awesome £1,205.40 for the fund.
