Opening ceremony

After many years in the planning, continued fundraising and petitioning our new Sports Pavilion was officially opened on Saturday November 19th.

The Pavilion was officially opened by the Mayor of Rushcliffe and former Nottingham Forest Captain, John McGovern. Also in attendance were many of the people who made this project happen, members of the Parish Council, fundraisers and local people who gave their time and expertise in support of the project.

Saturday 19 November is the official opening of the new sports pavilion on Costock Road, East Leake by the Mayor of Rushcliffe and former Nottingham Forest Captain, John McGovern.

East Leake Parish Council said:

‘It has taken a few years to come to fruition with a lot of blood sweat and tears, but we got there eventually thanks to all involved – it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of various bodies.’

Funding for this project has been achieved by way of a grant from the Premier League, The Football Association, and Government via the Football Foundation.'
